Dentsply Aquacem
DENTSPLY SIRONA
Dentsply Aquacem

Description :

Dentsply AquaCem is a light-yellow, translucent glass ionomer luting cement used for the permanent cementation of dental restorations. Its powder is an anhydrous blend of alumino-silicate glass and polyacrylic acid that is mixed with water to create the cement.

Features :

Chemical bonding: The cement forms a strong chemical bond with enamel and dentin, which helps create tightly sealed restorations and reduces microleakage.

Fluoride release: AquaCem has anticariogenic properties, as it releases fluoride to help prevent secondary decay.

Biocompatibility: The material is biocompatible, minimizing the risk of adverse reactions in patients.

Addresses low pH issues: The cement's larger polyacrylic acid molecules prevent penetration into the dentinal tubules, addressing the initial low pH often associated with glass ionomer cements that can cause irritation.

Durability: It offers high compressive strength, low solubility, and a low film thickness, ensuring maximum retention and a long-lasting restoration.

Radiopacity: The cement is radiopaque, allowing for clear visibility on X-rays for easy post-operative assessment.

Easy to use: As an anhydrous material, it is considered safe and easy to mix and store.

Single-component: Monobond N is a pre-mixed solution, which simplifies the bonding process.

Efficient: It features a universal 60-second reaction time, after which any excess is dispersed with an air stream before applying the luting composite.

Key Specification :

Monobond N is indicated for conditioning the surface of all common indirect restorative materials before cementation with a luting composite. These materials include:

Glass and oxide ceramics: This includes materials such as zirconia.

Metal: Used for metallic restorations and alloys.

Ivoclar Monobond Etch & Prime Refill 5g
IVOCLAR
Ivoclar Monobond Etch & Prime Refill 5g

Description :

Ivoclar Monobond Etch & Prime is a single-component ceramic primer that combines the etching and silanating process for glass-ceramic restorations into a single, time-saving step. It eliminates the need for hydrofluoric acid, making the procedure safer and less technique-sensitive.

Features :

Single-component primer: The product combines the functions of etching and silane priming in one bottle, streamlining the adhesive cementation process for glass-ceramics.

Hydrofluoric acid-free: Instead of toxic hydrofluoric acid, it uses ammonium polyfluoride to create a microretentive surface on the ceramic, making the procedure significantly safer for clinicians.

Cleansing action: It actively removes saliva proteins and silicone contamination from the ceramic surface, ensuring a clean and optimal bonding surface.

Strong, durable bond: The primer creates a powerful and long-lasting chemical bond between the glass-ceramic and the luting composite, which has been shown to be comparable to traditional methods.

Prevents over-etching: The self-etching formula prevents the risk of over-etching, which can compromise the ceramic microstructure and weaken the final restoration.

Key Specification :

Monobond Etch & Prime is indicated for the extraoral pre-treatment of glass-ceramic surfaces before adhesive luting with a resin cement. It is specifically recommended for the following Ivoclar glass-ceramic materials, among others:

IPS e.max CAD

IPS e.max Press

IPS Empress CAD

It is used as a surface conditioner for these restorations in adhesive cementation procedures to ensure a strong and durable bond. The product can also be used to re-condition a glass-ceramic restoration that has become contaminated after a previous lab conditioning.

Packaging :

1 x 5g Bottle

Ivoclar Ivoclean Refill 5g
IVOCLAR
Ivoclar Ivoclean Refill 5g

Description :

Ivoclar Ivoclean is a universal cleaning paste designed to effectively clean the bonding surfaces of dental restorations that have been contaminated by saliva during intraoral try-in. This process is crucial for ensuring a strong and durable bond between the restoration and the luting material.

Features :

Composition: It consists of a dispersion of metal oxide (zirconia) particles in water.

Mechanism of action: The zirconia particles in Ivoclean have a high affinity for the phosphate particles found in saliva. This allows Ivoclean to pull the salivary contaminants away from the restoration surface.

Cleaning time: The paste needs to be applied and left to act for only 20 seconds.

Application: It is applied with a microbrush or brush, then thoroughly rinsed with water and dried with oil-free air.

Post-cleaning: After cleaning, the restoration should not be re-contaminated with saliva or blood. If contamination occurs, the entire procedure must be repeated.

Key Specification :

Ivoclean is indicated for the extraoral cleaning of prosthetic restorations after they have been tried in the patient's mouth and are potentially contaminated with saliva. It is universal and can be used on various restorative materials, including:

Glass-ceramics
